I met up with Sondra and Corey (and their puppies) down in Franklin for their engagement session last week. When Sondra booked me for their engagement and wedding photography, she said she loved the way I used sunlight in my images. So I was pretty bummed when while driving to their engagement session, I realized there was no chance of rain, but it looked like it was going to be a gloomy and overcast night. Surprisingly though, we ended up with just a few minutes of that beautiful, golden sun and we took full advantage of it! I hope we get another night as beautiful as this one for their Fall wedding next year. Congratulations lovebirds! I can’t wait to be a part of your big day!
I met the Coomer Family downtown last week for a combination Family/Maternity Session and I could not of asked for a better shoot. Perfect weather, gorgeous light, and the most adorable little family of (almost) four. Mr. Charlie is hands down the CUTEST little thing (Seriously Nickie, if he ever turns up missing, I’ve probably stolen him) and they are getting ready to welcome Baby #2 in just a few more weeks! Congratulations Coomer Clan!
I wanted to share some favorite images from another session I had down in the Sunshine State last month!
When the Connells mentioned shooting their photos at their family ranch I was so excited! I LOVE it when clients come up with new locations for me to shoot at, especially when it has sentimental meaning to them. The night only got better for me when the land turned out to be GORGEOUS property, and I scored with a perfect sunset and one good looking family. Lucky for them they live hundreds of miles away from me in Florida or else I’d be bugging them non-stop to use this land for shoots.
It was a hot night but we toughed it out and got some beautiful shots of the whole gang.
Finally I am getting around to blogging some of my beautiful sessions from my recent trip to the Sunshine State. I spent a long, “workcation” weekend in Florida at the end of last month and even though I had shoots everyday, it hardly felt like work. It was my first trip home to Florida that I didn’t take my 2 year old son with me, so I had the days to relax at my parent’s home and the evenings to shoot old friends, new friends, and for this session; my sister and brother in law!
I can’t believe they have been married for FIVE YEARS now. They wanted some updated pictures together and I love how these images came out. We couldn’t of asked for a more beautiful location or a more perfect sunset.
Congrats lovebirds!
Last night I had the amazing opportunity to photograph my first birth. Not only was it the first time I’ve ever photographed a birth, but it was the first birth I’ve ever witnessed (besides my own baby) and it was for my new niece!
I can’t even put into words what a beautiful and amazing experience it was. I feel so lucky that Rick and Kendra allowed me to witness such a special moment in their lives. I hope they treasure these images as much as I enjoyed shooting them.
Congratulations to the Harris Family, now a party of three!
